Panchakarma: An Ayurvedic Treatment now available at Hospital.

What is Panchkarma?

“Pancha” in Sanskrit stands for five and “Karma” is therapeutic process or measures. There by meaning five types of therapeutic measures.

It takes for the purification of the body and ayurveda consider it necessary before the start of any other therapy.

The ‘Panchkarma’ therapy of ayurveda comprises of five basic types of advanced treatment for evacuation of vitiated dosha (toxic materials) from the body.

The Panchkarma includes
  1. External oil treatment

  2. Steam (fomentation)

  3. Basti (medicated Enemas)

  4. Virechana (Purgation)

  5. Vamana (Emesis)

  6. Nasyam (Nasal administration of medicated oil)

Diseases covered by Panchkarma specially are:

Repeated attacks of Bronchitis, Cold, Cough, Asthma, Skin Rashes, Acne, Nausea, and Jaundice. Problem of throats, Chronic Constipation, Distention, Backache, Sciatica, other Pain in Joints, Muscle Spasm, Arthritis, Gout.
